What can I store?

‘We will store most household or commercial items, except dangerous and hazardous materials. Please check with one of our team or our prohibited items list here

 

Do I pay a deposit?

‘We ask for a security deposit of 4 weeks rental, which is refundable upon move out’

 

When can I access my storage?

‘Our storage units come with 24/7 access as standard. We offer accompanied access on bespoke items’


What is the minimum and maximum rental period?

‘Our minimum term is 4 weeks. The maximum term is however long you require the storage’

 

What is the notice period?

‘The notice period is 7 days in writing, ending on any due date - that is the end of any 4-weekly period’

 

How much does it cost?

‘We have multiple different storage options available, please contact our friendly team for a quote that will suit your needs’

 

How do I pay?

‘We can take payment at our main office or over the phone. We also offer a BACS payment. All of our prices are inclusive of VAT’

 

Can I pay via direct debit?

‘Our licence agreement is a 28 day invoice, we would recommend a standing order or via BACS’

 

Do I need ID to set up an account?

‘Yes, we will need to see either your driving licence or passport together with a recent utility bill showing your current address’

 

Do I need to sign paperwork or a contract?

‘The Customer License Agreement is the legal agreement between You the Licensee and Us the Licensor’

 

Is the site secure?

‘Our sites are fully secured with 24/7 CCTV plus Keyholder response intruder and fire alarm systems’

 

Will my items stay clean and dry?

‘Our units are clean and dry. The outdoor units are wind and water tight’

 

Can I load/unload my vehicle close to my storage?

‘Our storage facilities let you park your vehicle within a few feet of your storage, making loading & unloading simple and easy. Our indoor units allow you ro drive into the building meaning you can unload out of the weather and in the dry!’

 

Do I need insurance while my items are in storage?

‘Yes - it is a requirement of the agreement that all Goods stored at Moorhouse Storage should be insured. We can provide an enhanced liability product for your goods - check out StoreProtect.'

 

What are the office opening hours?

‘Our main office is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. You can contact us out of hours in an emergency on 01262 608731’

Step 3: Rent


If you are happy with the quote, pop down to our office, on Bessingby Industrial Estate to complete the relevant paperwork and receive instructions on how to access the storage facility. Don’t forget your ID!

Step 4: Move in


Your goods will be stored safely and securely. You can access your storage unit 24-7 at no extra cost.
